As Managing Partner and Principal Broker of Berry & Hunt, Steve teamed up with the late Jim Berry, Founder & Chairman of Republic Parking System in 1988. Together Berry & Hunt, and its affilites owned and operated approximately 800,000 square feet of office and related space in downtown Chattanooga. Steve handled all aspects of leasing and sales for their partnerships.

In January 2021, Berry & Hunt transitioned its property management business to a Berry family entity and later, ended their affiliation after 33 years.

The majority of Steve's time is now focused on tenant representation services and real estate brokerage for third-party clients.

Steve is Past President of BOMA Chattanooga and has served as President of the Commercial Realtors Council of the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors. Steve served on the Tennessee Association of Realtors Commercial Forms Committee, the Board of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, and as a founding Board Member of Emily's Power For a Cure Foundation. Steve also served St. Peter's Episcopal Church as a member of the Vestry and as Jr. Warden for 4 years. Currently, Steve is the Chairman of the Downtown Chattanooga Alliance.

Steve and Kim have 3 sons and reside in their hometown of Chattanooga.
